Spreadsheet module

The Spreadsheet module gives agents access to structured rows, columns, business rules, and custom workflow records.

#Use cases

Use Spreadsheet when the workflow does not fit CRM, tickets, scheduling, or orders.

Examples:

  • Account tiers.
  • Renewal dates.
  • Internal request trackers.
  • Vendor records.
  • Approval rows.
  • Custom onboarding checklists.
  • Operational status tables.

#What agents can do

Depending on configuration, agents can:

  • Read rows.
  • Update approved fields.
  • Add notes.
  • Record status changes.
  • Trigger workflow handoffs.

#Set up Spreadsheet

  1. Go to Modules.
  2. Add a Spreadsheet module.
  3. Define columns and expected data.
  4. Open the agent.
  5. Enable the module under Agent Settings → Modules.
  6. Test read and write behavior in Playground.

#Safety guidelines

Because spreadsheets can model many workflows, be explicit.

Add instructions for:

  • Which fields the agent may update.
  • Which fields are read-only.
  • Which changes require human approval.
  • What to do when a row cannot be found.
  • How to summarize updates to the user.
