Channels overview

Channels are where users talk to an agent. The same agent can use the same knowledge, modules, and instructions across different customer surfaces.

#Supported channel surfaces

Nexaflow currently documents:

  • Web Widget: install the agent on a website with an embed script.
  • WhatsApp: connect the agent to Meta WhatsApp Cloud API.

Marketing pages may also describe Instagram and email as product direction or omnichannel positioning. Use the in-app channel settings as the source of truth for what is enabled in your workspace.

#Channel versus module

Channels are conversation surfaces.

Modules are back-end tools.

Example:

  • A user asks a refund question on WhatsApp.
  • The agent searches refund policy knowledge.
  • The agent updates a ticket module.
  • The user receives a WhatsApp response.
  1. Configure agent instructions.
  2. Attach knowledge.
  3. Enable required modules.
  4. Test in Playground.
  5. Deploy web widget.
  6. Connect WhatsApp if needed.
